Winnipeg Blue Bombers Football Club
Our Role
VP, Entertainment & Events, Winnipeg Football Club (May 2014 – March 2016)
- Directed all non-football entertainment operations at Investors Group Field, including major concert events (Beyoncé & Jay Z, One Direction and AC/DC), programming of all pre-game, half-time and post-game activities and the management and operational oversight of third-party events.
- Led all event and community relations staff, administered game day and community relations budgets and developed/implemented strategic plans for the growth of stadium-based revenues.
- Envisioned the game day “look and feel” at Investors Group Field to provide enhanced customer experience.
Golf Channel Amateur Tour
Our Role
Manitoba Tour Director, Golf Channel Amateur Tour (2007 – 2009)
- Organized and operated 10 golf tournaments annually at a variety of courses; managed all finances, coordinated advertising, sponsorships & prizing and liaised with the Golf Channel head office in Florida regarding all business and player affairs.
- Pioneered the Canadian chapter of the highly successful “Golf Channel Amateur Tour” in Winnipeg where participants registered to compete for cash, prizes and points to represent Manitoba at the national finals.

Boo at the Zoo
The Event
Boo at the Zoo is a Halloween-themed evening event featuring a curious cast of costumed characters, carnival rides, games, sweet and savoury treats, special performances, and jaw-dropping displays!
Morden Corn & Apple Festival
Our Role
Artistic & Programming Consultant, Morden Corn & Apple Festival (2018, 2019, 2022 & ongoing)
- Provide guidance and recommendations for main stage programming and production requirements.

JUNO AWARDS
Our Role
Managing Director, The Juno Awards 2014 (October 2013 – April 2014)
- Managed all activities on behalf of the Winnipeg Host Committee, The Province of Manitoba and the City of Winnipeg relative to the 2014 Juno Awards in Winnipeg; working with the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (CARAS) to facilitate events at various Winnipeg venues.
- Activated/managed major sponsors, coordinated committees (Educational, Aboriginal, Francophone, Marketing, Live Events and Pageantry) and interacted with key stakeholders to achieve goals.
LIVE Nation
THE UNION AND LIVE NATION CONCERTS
Our Role
- Local promoter rep for all Union and multiple Live Nation concerts presented in Manitoba venues such as BellMTS Centre, RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg, Burton Cummings Theatre, Centennial Concert Hall and Pantages Playhouse.
- Oversaw sound, light & video procurement and installation, event staffing, marketing and promotion, day-of-show management, staff and union relations, show settlement and cash reconciliation.
- Produced over 700 shows featuring artists such as David Bowie, Blink 182 and Montgomery Gentry.
Paquin Entertainment Group
Our Role
Production Manager, Paquin Entertainment Group (1997 – 2000)
- Tour management for Fred Penner, Amy Sky, Amanda Stott, and Al Simmons.
- Managed the only professional tennis match ever held in Manitoba (2002).
- Stage Manager for Farm Aid at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto (2000).
- Production manager of “Manitoba Night” for the Pan Am Games at the Scotia Bank Stage at the Forks with an attendance of 70,000 (1999).
- Stage/Production Manager multiple Las Vegas-style shows for casinos (Club Regent and McPhillips Street Station).
- Production management of multiple corporate events, including Great-West Life Top Achievers conference in Toronto and the Prime Minister’s Luncheon at the Manitoba Club.
- Numerous concert events for artists such as The Moffats, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Colin James.
Smallman Records
Our Role
President/Founder, Smallman Records & Artist Management (1996 – 2009)
- Founder of a renowned record label and artist management firm with over 100 international releases from over 30 artists.
- Organized daily live tour bookings including administration and coordination, transportation, equipment management, human resources, payroll, international work visas, tax management and grant preparation.
- Continuously created and implemented strategic, operational, marketing and sales initiatives, evaluated industry trends and made tactical decisions for profitable company growth.
- Oversaw 10 management clients touring full-time, including performances in Europe, Australia, Japan, Southeast Asia, South America, Russia, Canada and the United States.
- Negotiated the first associated label deal in Canada with Page/EMI Music as well as licensing and distribution deals in over 20 countries including a North American marketing, production and distribution deal with Warner Music.
- Featured panelist and speaker at international events. Nominated “Manager of the Year” at 2009 Western Canadian Music Awards. Recipient of The Manitoba Management Exchange Grant for young entrepreneurs.
The Union Concerts

Our Role
Production Manager, Promoter & Local Promoter Rep, The Union and Live Nation Concerts (2000 – 2009)

Council of the Federation
Our Role
Event Director, Council of the Federation (July 2010)
- Handpicked by the Province of Manitoba to curate, organize and oversee three days of events for the Canadian Premiers’ annual summer conference, the Council of the Federation.
- Launched arts and cultural programming and events such as the first live concert on the Nonsuch ship at the Manitoba Museum, an evening at Kelburn Farms featuring multiple local artists and a solo performance by Burton Cummings.
